Ms Amy Illidge is the Deputy Director of IAIE.
Her penchant for not only providing the best services as a medical professional but also enhancing its delivery through evidence based practice inspired her to attain a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 2018 from Griffith University Medical School. Being a mother of five young children (including a son with disabilities), undertaking medical studies and attaining the degree with flying colours is a massive source of inspiration for women in similar situations. It demonstrates Amy’s passion for the profession and serving the community in need. Her achievements as a medical professional and a mother are testimony to her exemplary time management skills and grit to work extra hours — and all with enormous good cheer! These are invaluable assets for any institution and IAIE stands to gain enormously with her involvement as well.
Amy also possesses Bachelor’s and Master’s research degrees in Applied Science – Radiation Therapy. She has worked in radiation oncology at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and the Mater Hospital for over 15 years and was appointed a board member of the ‘Medical Radiation Technology Board’ by the Minister for Health (Qld) for five years.
Amy is passionate about health and wellness issues with a keen interest in oncology. In addition, she is committed to exploring research funding for generating greater awareness and support for children with disabilities and their families.
